Who is the client?
Enrique Chafer Bixquert, Executive commercial Manager of AUTOMOCIÓ MOVIL-VALL, SOCIEDAD LIMITADA which is located in Valencia, Spain and is part of the Automotive Repair and Maintenance Industry, mainly for Volkswagen
Objective
The objective is to create several social media advertising videos to arise the awareness of his official VW Car Dealer Shop located in Valencia. Sales of Audi, Volkswagen, Seat, Skoda and Peugeot vehicles. Repairs of mechanical, electrical, bodywork, paintwork, air conditioning and tyres. Sale of spare parts, etc.
Reflection
During the execution of my Unique Selling Proposition (USP) assignment, which involved creating social media advertising for a car dealer to boost brand awareness across various platforms, I gained valuable insights into my own capabilities and growth as a student in the Creative Business program at NHL Stenden University.
One of the most significant learnings for me was in the area of planning and organization (Learning Outcome 1). As I embarked on this project, I quickly realized the importance of meticulous planning when it comes to executing a successful social media advertising campaign. I had to set clear objectives, and plan working time effectively to ensure that the campaign ran smoothly. This experience taught me the importance of time management and how to adapt my plans when unexpected challenges arose. If anything to take out from the experience, would be to spend even more time investigating into the deepest details of the client expectations during the initial phase of the project, to optimize the time project execution.
Innovating (Learning Outcome 3) was another crucial aspect of this assignment. I had to come up with creative and attention-grabbing ideas to differentiate the car dealer's social media presence from competitors. This required thinking outside the box and exploring new approaches to content creation and engagement strategies. I learned that innovation is not just about creating something entirely new but also about finding unique angles and perspectives to connect with the target audience.
Throughout the project, I honed my communication skills (Learning Outcome 5). I had to interact with the client, and engage with the online audience. Effective listening and communication skills are vital in ensuring that both, client and Project developer, are on the same page and that the campaign's messaging is consistent and fulfills client expectations.
My insights into the media landscape (Learning Outcome 8) deepened as I delved into the world of social media advertising. I gained a better understanding of the various platforms, algorithms, and trends that shape digital marketing today. This knowledge allowed me to tailor our content and strategies to the specific strengths and weaknesses of each platform.
Developing media concepts (Learning Outcome 10) and producing media products and services (Learning Outcome 11) were at the core of this assignment. I learned how to take a concept from ideation to execution, considering factors like visual aesthetics, messaging, and audience engagement.
In conclusion, this assignment not only helped me develop essential skills related to marketing and media but also provided valuable personal insights. I discovered that I thrive in a dynamic and creative environment that challenges me to innovate and communicate effectively. This experience has motivated me to continue exploring the field of creative business and marketing, and I am excited about applying these newfound skills to future projects.
